1. How do I view my child's grades?

You can access current grades, attendance and lunch balance via the internet. Passwords and Identification Numbers are confidential and stay the same the whole time your student is enrolled in USD379. The powerschool website is:
http://powerschool.usd379.org
Choose Confidential ID to enter your assigned ID
Choose Password to enter your assigned password.
Click "Go" or press "Enter" to access your students information.
If you no longer have the ID/Password for your student, contact your school and they can print the information for you. If you have questions concerning grades or attendance, please contact the individual teacher by phone or e-mail. Powerschool website

2. How do I report my child's absence?

To report an absence or late arrival please contact our school 632-2125.

You will need the following information:

1. Childs Name
2. Grade Level
3. Date of the absence (or late arrival)
4. Reason for the absence (or late arrival)
5. Name of the person who is calling to report the absence (or late arrival).
6. Caller's relationship to the child (mother, father, guardian, etc.)

3. How do I report my child's change of address?

Please contact our school, 632-2125. You will need the following information:

*Child's name
*Your name and relationship to student
* Child's Grade Level
* Old Address
* New Address

4. How do I give my child medication at school?

The school is able to give doctor prescribed medication to your child with signed paperwork from your doctor and you, the parent or guardian. Other medications like aspirin or cold medicine may be administered by the parent or guardian. They should report to the school office and their child will be called to meet them there. 5. Can I visit my child at school?

If there are questions concerning student progress, the teacher welcomes the opportunity to talk over achievement as well as difficulties with you. We do ask your cooperation in visiting our school. Visitation Policy

6. What happens when school is delayed 2 hours?

When USD 379 classes are on a two hour delay, Garfield students can begin entering the building at 10am with classes starting at 10:30. There will be no breakfast on mornings of two hour delay.

We will begin with our normal 10:30 class and if the schedule allows the first morning session of class will occur at the end of the day. Specials (Art, Music, PE, Library) will not take place on a two hour delay schedule. However, Band at the end of the day will be held as scheduled.

7. What do I need to enroll my child when we are new to USD379?

Schools are able to request student records from the previous school you attended. Each school will have the forms needed to complete your enrollment. More...
