Over 800 students are transported daily within Clay County. Major portions of these are rural students, however, some are transported from one attendance center to another in Clay Center.

High School pupils residing within the city limits will not be allowed to utilize in-town bussing from CCCHS to other attendance centers or pick-up and drop-off points.

Safety is the responsibility of each bus rider under the supervision of the driver. The following rules and regulations have been approved by the Board of Education.

Please go over the following Bus Rules and Regulations with your child(ren). Knowledge and understanding of these safety factors and rules will add to their basic safety and happiness as a bus rider.

All regular route buses are equipped with UHF radios and are to be used for school business and/or emergencies only. If the bus is more than 15 minutes late on its regular route and you have not been advised as to the reason, please call Mike Urban, Director of Transportation, collect. Any questions concerning transportation should be directed to the Director of Transportation, at 10th and Clay Street, Clay Center, Kansas, telephone 632-5373.
