Clay Center and Wakefield High Schools once again earn Apply Kansas ‘All Star’ honors

Clay Center Community High School and Wakefield High School have once again earned recognition as Apply Kansas “All Star” Schools, highlighting their ongoing commitment to preparing students for life after graduation.

The annual award celebrates high schools that actively support students in taking the next step toward college, careers, or other postsecondary opportunities. Students receive dedicated guidance in completing college and job applications, navigating financial aid processes, and exploring a wide range of future pathways.

The Apply Kansas All Star High School program was created to expand college access and ensure students have the tools and support needed to successfully transition beyond high school. A key component of the program is the implementation of three required events each year: an Apply Kansas Application Event, a FAFSA Completion Event, and a College or Senior Signing Day. These events provide structured opportunities for students to take meaningful steps toward their goals while celebrating their achievements along the way.

By earning the Apply Kansas All Star School Award once again, CCCHS and WHS continue to demonstrate their dedication to student success. Their efforts ensure that every student is supported, celebrated, and empowered to confidently take the next step toward their future.
