The Clay Center Elks Lodge No. 2253 will host its annual Back-to-School Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, located at 611 5th Street in Clay Center.
The event will provide free school supplies to students entering Pre-K through eighth grade while supplies last. Distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Families are asked to line up at the front of the building before entering.
In addition to receiving school supplies, families will have the opportunity to visit with a variety of community organizations and resource agencies. Participating booths will include the Clay County Health Department, after-school programs, and other local organizations that offer services and support for children and families throughout the school year.
The Back-to-School Fair is made possible through the support of several community partners, including the Elks National Foundation, Ferguson Rexall Drugs, the Clay County Education Endowment Association, Inc., and Central Office Service & Supply.
The annual event helps students begin the school year with the supplies they need while connecting families with valuable community resources in a welcoming environment.
