Clay Counts Coalition is helping USD 379 families access mental health support through a new partnership that provides ParentGuidance.org resources at no cost.
USD 379 announced the program in an Oct. 26 letter from Lisa Last, the district’s School, Family, Community Connections Counselor. Funded by Clay Counts, the service gives families confidential access to mental health education, parenting resources, and personalized support. No insurance, referral or diagnosis is required to use the resources. That accessibility allows families to seek guidance when questions first arise, whether they want practical parenting strategies or help understanding a child’s changing needs.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to helping children succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by strengthening the support available at home.
Designed by mental health experts, the platform offers several ways for parents and caregivers to learn more about their children’s emotional well-being and address everyday parenting challenges.
On-demand video courses feature licensed therapists and mental health experts discussing topics such as anxiety, depression, social media, grief, and parenting. Families can access these resources when their schedules allow, making it easier to seek information without waiting for a scheduled presentation.
An “Ask a Therapist” feature allows parents to submit mental health questions anonymously and receive answers from mental health professionals. Families can also browse more than 100 previously answered questions, providing another starting point for concerns they may be unsure how to discuss.
The program also includes a Mental Health Series covering more than 30 topics, including bullying, emotional regulation, school avoidance, ADHD, and more. Live events, recorded presentations, articles, and quick takeaways give families multiple ways to explore issues relevant to their children.
Clay Counts’ sponsorship supports its broader work to promote social, physical and mental well-being throughout the community. By funding access to ParentGuidance.org, the coalition is giving families another source of support as they help children build healthy relationships and manage challenges.
Families can get started by visiting the Parent Guidance page on the USD 379 homepage to access resources.
