Thank you CCCMS for collecting 310 food items to be donated to the Lighthouse. Mrs. Roth’s PAWS class won with 62 items. A big thanks to the food drive committee who headed this school service project!!

Reminder Student Council will be sponsoring a formal dance (not activity night - formal attire is not a requirement) Tonight from 6 p.m.-7:30. Music, dancing, and concessions will be available. All funds raised will be donated to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital. To get back in the Valentines Day spirit here are some pictures of the 6th grade art class students making pipe cleaner superheroes and Valentines for Mrs. Weller’s 2nd grade class last week!

Congratulations to Mr. Hoffman who was selected as Kansas School Counselor Principal advocate of the year. Each year KSCA selects three administrators in the state to receive the award. Mr. Hoffman was the only secondary principal in the state to receive the award this year. A principal advocate is one who advocates, supports, and collaborates with his or her school counselor. Principals are awarded based on the following: Supports specific school counseling professional development, addresses and applies data collection, demonstrates actions towards a safe and positive school climate, and embraces school counseling initiatives. Mr. Hoffman was nominated by Mr. Brummet. Dr. Lyndsey Brown, the current president of the Kansas School Counselor Association, and past USD 379 counselor presented the award. Thank you Mr. Hoffman for your support of the CCCMS School Counseling program!
