Today we’re cranking up the energy as we shine the Bengal Strong Habits in Action Spotlight on our AMAZING 7th Grade Bengal Football Team! 💪🖤🧡
💥 These boys are on FIRE, starting their season 2-0 with big wins over Abilene and Concordia! 💥
They’re coached by an incredible staff: David Roberts, Brandon Pigorsch, Austin Last, and Cameron Beardsley—a powerhouse group leading a powerhouse team! 🙌
This crew of 22 players brings it all to the field: ⚡ size, ⚡ speed, ⚡ strength, and a whole lot of Bengal PRIDE! They’ve got a high football IQ, they play for each other, and they NEVER back down!
Coach Roberts says:
👉 “The 22 members of this team are such a fun team to coach. I enjoy working with them and look forward to seeing how they finish the year.”
🎉 You can catch them in action TODAY at 4:30 at the MAC or cheer them on next week when they head to Wamego to take on the Raiders! 🏈🐾

Yazlin has been witnessed by not just one—but TWO staff members—going above the standards and living out the 7 Habits every single day. 🙌
She is truly shining in Habit 8: Find Your Voice and Inspire Others to Find Theirs. 💬✨
Yazlin is proactive in reaching her own educational goals, while also encouraging and supporting others to reach theirs.
Most recently, she has been translating for a new student with kindness, patience, and understanding. She’s always attentive, compassionate, and thinking about how she can best help out. 💕

They are led by the awesome coaching duo of Megan Griffiths and Jennifer Pfizenmaier, and this week is packed with action—you’ll have up to FOUR chances to catch them play! 👏

🌟📚 Bengal Strong Habits in Action Department Spotlight! 📚🌟
Today we’re kicking off our first Spotlight Department of the year… and it’s none other than our AMAZING ELA (English Language Arts) Team here at CCCMS! 🐾✏️
Our ELA teachers work tirelessly to guide students through the world of reading, writing, grammar, and novel studies. Not only that, but they also help students tackle important assessments like KITE and AimsWeb, which measure growth in reading fluency and comprehension—two skills that set our Bengals up for success far beyond CCCMS! 💪📖
We are so grateful for the passion, creativity, and dedication this team brings to the classroom every single day. 🎉👏

Mrs. Koster has been teaching 6th-grade ELA at CCCMS since 2020. She has a total of 13 years in education. She lives in Clay Center with her husband and 2 children. Mrs. Koster enjoys reading, watching TV, spending time outdoors, and spending time with her family.
Austin Last is in his second year at CCCMS, and he's proud to be part of this community. He's lived in Clay Center since 5th grade, so this place truly feels like home to him. Before he found his calling in the classroom, he lived a fast-paced life as a chef, working in several restaurants—including helping to open 15-24 Brewhouse, which was an unforgettable experience. When he's not teaching, you’ll usually find him diving into a good book, experimenting in the kitchen, or on the football field—either watching the game or coaching from the sidelines. Cooking and football fuel his passion, but nothing matters more to him than his family. They’re the heart of everything he does.
Mrs. Ashley Blain is teaching eighth-grade English this year at CCCMS. Her teaching career began in northern Idaho in 2010. Over the years, she has taught students in grades 8 through 12, but her favorite grade to teach is 8th. Mrs. Blain and her husband, Josh, live in Concordia with their kids, McAllister (11) and Boaz (9). Mrs. Blain’s favorite pastime outside of school is connecting with family and friends. Beyond that, Mrs. Blain loves to travel, play board and card games, craft, drink stout coffee, and read a variety of books. Her top three favorite reads are: To Kill a Mockingbird, The Princess Bride, and King Lear.
