Today's Bengal Spotlight Featured PAWS is Mr. Kelly's PAWS. Early risers. Morning people. Wide awake. These are all improper descriptions of PAWS students in Mr. Kelly’s class. Instead, the students are often reading emails, watching a brief SEL video, checking grades, and even some last-minute schoolwork. We’re not the high energy, Red Bull drinking, PAWS challenge fanatics of CCCMS. However, if you’re looking for a quiet place to gather your thoughts with peaceful music and wafts of fresh brewed coffee, this is the place to be each morning.
Congratulations to the Bengal students who participated in today's Spelling Bee! Everyone did amazing and the Spelling Bee lasted 20 rounds! William Lira out-spelled all other Bengal spellers! Way to go William! The top 9 will be representing CCCMS at the District Spelling Bee.

History is being made today in Chapman!! As the first-ever CCCMS 7th and 8th Grade Girls Wrestling team hit the mats!! Good Luck, show them how strong Lady Bengals are! #bengalstrong
Today's Bengal Spotlight Featured Team is the 8th Grade Boys Basketball team! These boys have had a great season with a tough loss last night to Rock Creek. Despite that, they are ready to bounce back and take on Marysville this Thursday. The team is coached by Mike Adams and Kraig Brockman with a 2-2 record. Continue to play with your heart boys! #bengalstrong

Today's Bengal Way Call of the Day is Bailee Williams! In Rock band class, Bailee is organizing her papers/music and offers organizational help to her peers. She is a natural leader and helps her peers to be successful. Way to go, Bailee!! Being Neat and having Leadership skills is a great way to live the #bengalstrong way!
The Bengals Basketball teams hit the road today as they take on Abilene at 4:30. 8th-grade games will be played at Eisenhower Elementary, and 7th-grade plays at Abilene Middle School (B teams followed by A). Good Luck Bengals! #bengalstrong
This week's Bengal Spotlight Featured Team is the 7th Grade Boys Basketball team! The team is coached by Randy Walling and Zane Bloom. They have started their season off strong, currently, they are 1-0! Catch them in action twice this week as they take on Abilene today and Salina South on Thursday! This weeks Bengal Spotlight Featured PAWS is Mr. Wichman's class. They participate in SEL lessons (videos) that deal with issues and behavioral elements that teenagers may be dealing with (video and discussions). There are weekly grade checks to make sure students are keeping up academically. Thirdly, students get the opportunity to play cards, chess, etc. during the week. Finally, students get the opportunity, once in a while, to participate in PAWS challenges from other PAWS classes (dodgeball, silent ball, etc).
Come out and support our 7th and 8th Grade Boy's Basketball teams tonight at HOME!! 8th Grade will play in the CCCMS Gym, B team followed by A team. 7th Grade will be in the District Gym. Let's Go Bengals! #bengalstrong
Students in 8th grade art recently finished painting a bench for the new walking trails by the zoo. They collaborated on the design and worked very cooperatively to create a piece of art that will be admired for years to come!
The CCCMS Bengal Library Christmas pickles have returned to their jar (or file cabinet) until next year! Congratulations to all the pickle finders we hope it brings you a ton of luck in 2023! Have a safe and happy winter break!
