Today, we are putting the spotlight on our 7TH GRADE FOOTBALL TEAM! 🐾💪

These Bengals are showing us what it means to BE THE STANDARD—on the field, in the classroom, and as teammates. Football is more than touchdowns, tackles, blocks, and big plays. It’s about discipline, teamwork, preparation, perseverance, accountability, and having each other’s backs. 💯

Every practice, every play, every snap, and every hard-fought yard is an opportunity to get better. These guys are learning that you don’t win the game on one play—you build success by doing the little things, trusting your teammates, staying focused, and refusing to quit when things get tough. 🏈💥

With Coach Roberts, Coach Last, Coach Pigorsch, and Coach Beardsley leading the way, this team is putting in the work, learning the game, and building something special together. 💪🏈

From the first whistle to the final play, we want to see that Bengal grit! HIT. BLOCK. TACKLE. DRIVE. FINISH. 🐾🔥

Today we are celebrating LAIRYN PYLE! 🎉👏

During Study Lab, Lairyn went above and beyond to teach, tutor, and mentor her peers—and she did it with such kindness and patience! 📚✨

She didn’t just give her classmates the answers. She took the time to explain, answer questions, and help her peers truly understand the work. That is what leadership looks like! 🙌

Lairyn is showing us that being a leader isn’t always about being in charge. Sometimes, it’s simply about helping someone else succeed and making sure they feel supported along the way. 💪🐾

This is what it means to LIVE THE 7 HABITS—being proactive, thinking win-win, seeking first to understand, and putting the success of others right alongside your own! 🧡🖤

Today we are giving a BIG Bengal shoutout to SKYLAR HOLTE! 🐾👏

Skylar noticed that a new member of the band needed help learning how to assemble her instrument, and she immediately stepped in to help. She patiently walked her peer through the process step by step, making sure she understood what to do along the way. 🎶

What makes this even more special is how Skylar helped—with kindness, patience, and encouragement. She didn’t just show her how to do it and walk away. She took the time to help her fellow band member feel confident and supported. 💕🎺

THIS is what it means to BE THE STANDARD! Skylar was proactive; she synergized with a peer, and she showed that helping others and treating people with kindness can make a BIG difference. She saw someone who needed help and simply stepped up and helped. No asking required. That’s the kind of leadership we LOVE to see! 👏👏👏

🐾🧡 BENGAL STRONG HABITS IN ACTION SPOTLIGHT! 🧡🐾

Today’s spotlight is on an AWESOME group of humans — the “Laniacs,” Mr. JD Lane’s PAWS family! 🐯🧡

PAWS is about more than just being in the same classroom. These students spend three years together — from 6th through 8th grade — growing, learning, laughing, setting goals, and becoming a family along the way. And the Laniacs are already showing what that family spirit looks like! 🧡

They’ve welcomed some new faces into their crew this year, are making more time for each other, working toward new individual and class goals, and, most importantly… looking forward to more Pancake Days! 🥞😂

Here’s what the Laniacs had to say:

Hello from the "Laniacs," Mr. Lane's PAWS class. We have many new faces this year. We have welcomed a great bunch of new students to our crew, with five new 6th graders and a new 7th grader. We love our activity and Family Fun days, and are happy that our Leader in Me lessons have moved to Study Lab. That gives us more time with each other. We are working on new individual and class goals for this year and looking forward to more Pancake Days. Go Bengals!!

There’s something pretty special about a PAWS family that gets three years to grow together. 🖤🧡 These Laniacs are making the most of that time — building relationships, setting goals, having fun, and creating memories along the way.

Ms. Smith's Bengal Writing class spent the last week interviewing an adult in their lives and constructing a presentation about that person. They talked about what is important to ask and include when writing a biography about someone. Today they started presenting! #Celebrate379

Today’s Call of the Day goes to Gracie Speltz! 👏

The other morning, as the announcements began, Gracie was walking through the hallway on her way to PAWS. She came into the library, found our flag, and stopped to say the Pledge along with the announcements.

No one asked her to. She simply noticed what was happening and chose to do the right thing. That is a great example of showing respect for our country and its flag—and being proactive while putting first things first!

We’re excited to share this amazing opportunity coming from our CCCMS YLINK group — Creativity Club! 🐾

Starting today, September 16, Creativity Club will meet once a month after school and give our Bengals a chance to connect, create, and have a little fun with all things creative — drawing, music, writing, crafts, and whatever creative ideas they bring with them! 🎶✏️🖌️✂️

Here are the details:

📅 First Meeting: September 16
⏰ 3:20–4:20 p.m.
🍿 Snacks & drinks: Provided by YLINK
🎨 Supplies: Some will be provided, and students are welcome to bring their own
🚗 Transportation: Students will need a plan for getting home at 4:20 p.m.
🐾 Who can participate? ALL CCCMS students are welcome!

We love creating spaces where our students can connect with others, explore their interests, try something new, and simply enjoy being creative. 💛
