Today’s "Like a Champion" Call of the Day spotlights Dianna Haines! She is being recognized by Mr. Sleichter for her amazing act of kindness. Dianna paused her own work to assist fellow students with their IXL math lessons. Without being asked, she helped them grasp the concepts, and in the process, she also deepened her own understanding of the material. Mr. Sleichter believes that’s a true Win-Win situation! An interesting fact about Dianna is that she loves to draw! The image shared is her favorite piece of artwork. Great job, Dianna!!!

Today, we are thrilled to recognize Collin Nelson as our "Like a Champion" Call of the Day! During P.E., while the class was playing Jail Break, substitute teacher Margaret Bideau noticed that Collin was consistently offering positive and encouraging words to both his teammates and the students on the opposing team. He even helped someone up from the floor, and when two students began to question who was "out," he kindly suggested, "Let's just have fun!" Collin truly exemplifies great sportsmanship! His positive and friendly attitude promotes a win-win environment every day!

Today, our Bengal Spotlight is shining on the PAWS class taught by Ms. Mellies. Meet the Mellies Mafia: silent ball enthusiasts (with the occasional ‘not-so-silent’ moment), Just Dance stars who sing along like they’re at a concert, and champions of slow mornings. They love hanging out, playing games, and taking their time to get the day started—because who needs rush? With their unique mix of personalities, they make every day a little more interesting.

Last semester Mrs. Argo’s art students had the opportunity to participate in the Clay County Conservation District’s soil conservation poster contest. CCCMS made a great showing by winning 6 out of 7 in their age category, including People’s Choice Award! Students and their families were invited to the annual meeting dinner to be recognized and received certificates and prizes. Congratulations to all these young budding artists!

Mr. Taylor's 6th grade social studies classes are in the middle of studying the Greek Dynasty, which ran from 1900-300 B.C. Today, they were writing an essay about similarities and differences between Athens and United States democracies. Then, based on that information, they had to say if they would be willing to live in ancient Athens or not.

We are pleased to highlight our "Like a Champion" call of the day, which recognizes some outstanding 8th-grade students! Last Friday, Mrs. McDonald's FACS class held a special bonus cooking lab. Each student prepared individual servings, and various kitchens were utilized at different times throughout the day. At the end of the eighth hour, these remarkable young ladies took the initiative to clean all the kitchens and floors, as well as put away the ingredients. They weren't asked to help; they simply demonstrated a can-do attitude with the mindset of, "This needs to be done, and I am going to do it." These students are truly amazing, proactive, and exemplify the "Think Win-Win" philosophy!

We would like to acknowledge Anderson Craig as our "Like a Champion" Call of the Day! When a student accidentally dropped their lunch, Anderson quickly set down her own tray at her table and returned to assist in cleaning up the mess. Notably, no one else stepped forward to help. Great job demonstrating synergy and the principle of thinking win-win, Anderson!
