Second graders in Mrs. Pfizenmaier's class are in their first week learning about contractions and how they are spelled. Mrs. Pfizenmaier breaks them up into small groups to work on this. While one group is with her, the other is working on an online program called Lexia that works on each student's level.
This group is so into spelling that they often find their own words to try and stump Mrs. Pfizenmaier. Today it was onomatopoeia! #celebrate379
It's Baby Animal Week in Mrs. Christa's Pre-K classroom this week! Today, she brought in some goats from Grater's Farms. Nothing goes together better than some cute kids and cute goats! #celebrate379

Wednesday, April 2nd announcement- due to flooding in the southern part of the county, country bus routes in those areas will be delayed. All students on those bus routes will not be counted as tardy for their arrival, they will be excused.

All USD 379 schools, including Lincoln 3rd graders, are in the middle of state assessments. State assessments aren’t just tests—they’re tools that help us better support your child’s learning journey. Here's why they matter:
✅ Measure Growth: They show how much your child has learned and grown over the year.
✅ Support Success: The results help teachers tailor instruction to meet student needs.
✅ Inform Decisions: Data from assessments guide district decisions on resources and curriculum.
✅ Statewide Comparison: They help us see how our students are doing compared to others across Kansas.
We’re proud of our students and teachers, and these assessments help us celebrate their progress and identify where we can grow even stronger—together. For LES 3rd graders, the goal is also to get them used to the format of the tests and to reduce anxiety the first time they take them.
Thanks for partnering with us in helping every student succeed! 💙📈 #celebrate379
