February 3-7 is National School Counseling Week! Its purpose is to recognize the important role school counselors play in helping students succeed in school and plan for their future. Thank you, Mr. Moran, for your dedication to CCCHS!

It was a special day at CCCHS, as the high school hosted the NCKL Band Day. Students from the NCKL bands (including 8 from CCCHS) met to learn from Dr. Emily Rossin, who is the KU Director of Music Education. At the end of the day, they performed a concert for the school and community.

This morning, both CCCHS and WHS students attended the 2025 Kansas Healthcare Virtual Career Day. More than 4,000 students from 200 schools across Kansas attended the online event. Students could choose which area of health care they were interested in, and then they connected virtually with a professional in that area. Our very own Clay County Medical Center Behavioral Health professionals were even one of the presenters! It was a great opportunity to help our students get more information in deciding their future.

Please consider coming to El Puerto's tonight for some chips, salsa, and dialogue!

The students in Teaching as a Career have been learning about the classroom environment, and how bulletin boards are a great way to share exciting new content, display student work, or build classroom culture. Mrs. Lange offered us a great opportunity to practice this, and allowed us to create a bulletin board meant to generate excitement with their Kansas Day celebration today! Happy 164th Birthday, Kansas!

Mr. Craig's Welding II/Fabrication students are in the middle of all kinds of different projects, including:
- creating iron cutout designs

- creating a bike rack
It's roofing time for the Tiger House! Mr. Pfizenmaier's Construction Tech students are grateful for some warmer weather so they can get it finished! The inside of the house is also starting to come together.
It is Movie Mania in Mrs. Artman's Graphic Design class! Students were assigned to create a promotional poster of a movie or TV series. They could choose which one they wanted, and the only requirement was it had to be different than the original.
Isosceles and equilateral triangles were on the brains of Mrs. Weller's Geometry students this morning. They were reviewing an assignment dealing with measurements and angles using story problems.
Thanks to the CCCHS Tiger Chorale and Garfield 4th graders for helping the USD 379 Bus Barn make a music video celebrating good behavior on our buses!
